The story takes place on an estate in Sorin, when Arkádina, her famous actress sister, arrives with her lover Trigorin to take a few days off. During her stay, she discovers that her son Kostia, want’s to become a playwriter and is in love with an aspiring actress named Nina. Sentimental bonds are formed while past grudges surface. Two years later, the characters meet again on the summer home, only to realize that you don’t always realize your aspirations.
