Plot

A normal heart is a story seen through the eyes of writer and activist Ned Weeks, who decides to create one of the first organizations in support of the victims of a mysterious and dangerous plague that is quickly killing gay men in NY which, according to Dr. Emma Brookner, is sexual transmitted. While this is happening, the government refuses any economic support and the mass media blocks out all information about the issue. Because of this, HIV-AIDS grew exponentially, killing millions of people as a result of this years of obscurantism.
